Is TwistFlush, Rimless WC Pans with Antibac from Villeroy & Boch Going to Eliminate the Need for Toilet Chemicals in Your Home?

Posted on February 3rd, 2025 Categories Bathrooms, Design, Great Ideas, Latest News

When it comes to maintaining a hygienic and eco-friendly bathroom, homeowners are always on the lookout for innovative solutions. Villeroy & Boch has introduced three game-changing technologies—TwistFlush, Rimless WC Pans, and Antibac—that could significantly reduce, or even eliminate, the need for traditional toilet cleaning chemicals. But can they truly replace your usual products? Let’s take a closer look.

What is TwistFlush?

TwistFlush is a revolutionary flushing system designed to maximise cleaning efficiency while minimising water consumption. Using the power of a controlled water vortex, it delivers a powerful flush that effectively removes waste and prevents residue build-up. This enhanced performance means less scrubbing and a reduced reliance on harsh chemical cleaners. Additionally, it uses up to 19% less water than standard 3/6-litre dual flush systems, making it a more sustainable choice for your home.

The Benefits of Rimless WC Pans

Traditional toilets have rims where dirt and bacteria can accumulate, making them harder to clean. Rimless WC Pans from Villeroy & Boch eliminate this issue by providing a seamless, easy-to-clean surface. Without a rim, there’s nowhere for germs and residue to hide, reducing the need for aggressive chemical cleaners and making toilet maintenance simpler and more hygienic.

The Benefits of Antibac Technology

Antibac is a special glaze infused with silver ions, which inhibits the growth of bacteria by 99.9%. This antimicrobial surface treatment is integrated into the ceramic and is particularly effective in reducing germs in high-contact areas, such as toilets and basins. With fewer bacteria accumulating, the need for disinfectants and harsh chemical cleaners is greatly reduced.

Can These Technologies Eliminate Toilet Chemicals?

While TwistFlush, Rimless WC Pans, and Antibac significantly enhance hygiene and reduce bacterial growth, occasional cleaning will still be necessary. However, these innovations mean that you can cut down on the frequency and intensity of chemical usage, relying more on milder, eco-friendly cleaners instead.

The Eco-Friendly Advantage

One of the biggest advantages of reducing toilet chemicals is the positive environmental impact. Many commercial toilet cleaners contain harmful substances that can damage waterways and disrupt ecosystems. By using toilets equipped with TwistFlush, Rimless WC Pans, and Antibac, homeowners can move towards a greener, more sustainable cleaning routine.

Final Verdict

While TwistFlush, Rimless WC Pans, and Antibac may not entirely eliminate the need for toilet cleaning products, they certainly reduce dependence on harsh chemicals, making it easier to maintain a clean, hygienic, and eco-conscious bathroom. If you’re looking to upgrade your home with a more efficient and sustainable toilet system, Villeroy & Boch’s latest innovations are definitely worth considering.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Denis and the team were incredibly helpful through the whole process of our kitchen refurbishment. From the initial discussions and call out with Denis, his particular eye for design came through and he made some great suggestions for opening up the space in terms of removing the chimney breast and partitioning out existing pantry which have transformed our kitchen area. Denis was there every step of the way, coming in an checking on the trades, liaising with them while we weren't in the property and project managing it to a very high standard.

The team they used were equally as thoughtful, providing great suggestions and design, with the new flooring throughout the downstairs, it feels like we live in a different house. We would highly recommend By Design to design and spec your kitchen.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our son & daughter-in-law suggested we contact Denis at By Design for our new kitchen, after their successful installation 3 years ago. We are pleased we did, as we are delighted with the result. German manufacture, with lots of neat innovations to make best use of our fairly limited space, and which didn’t stretch our budget. Denis has a wealth of knowledge, guiding us through the design process to a quality kitchen. We are pleased to recommend By Design. Mary & Martin South Cambridge.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. By Design recently designed, supplied and installed our new bathroom. Throughout the entire process, the service we received couldn't have been better. The main reason we chose By Design was the fantastic support we received from Denis. He was with us every step of the way, from exploring various design options to regularly checking in on the fitting progress.

The team responsible for the fitting was extremely courteous and consistently went out of their way to ensure everything was being carried out as expected. They also made a special effort to minimize any disruption to our daily routines.

Thank you for providing such excellent service and for making our bathroom renovation a smooth and pleasant experience.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I'm thrilled with our new bathroom from By Design. The entire experience from the initial design through to completion was excellent. It was so reassuring having Denis managing the project. He'd stop in most days to make sure everything was on track and up to his high standards and to deal with any small issues that cropped up. All of the contractors they worked with were also excellent. The entire project ran smoothly and on time. And the finished room is beautiful! Just what we wanted. We'd definitely use By Design again.

Please would you compliment and thank both your own staff and also your various subcontractors? They were thoroughly professional, expert and speedy: and they were also extraordinarily courteous, considerate and careful in their work. Completely beyond our expectations.
