If you’re looking to invest in a premium Nobilia kitchen, you’re likely considering where to buy it. Two key retailers in Cambridge are Küchengroup Cambridge (formerly known as Kutchenhaus Cambridge) and By Design Cambridge Ltd. But which one is the right choice for you?

In this blog, we’ll compare both retailers, highlighting what you should consider before making your decision.

What to Look for in a Nobilia Kitchen Retailer?

When choosing where to buy your German-engineered Nobilia kitchen, you should consider:
✔ Product Range & Customization Options
✔ Customer Service & Design Expertise
✔ Price & Value for Money
✔ Installation & Aftercare Support
✔ Showroom Experience & Reputation

Now, let’s see how By Design Cambridge Ltd and Küchengroup Cambridge compare.

By Design Cambridge Ltd

✅ Expertise & Personalized Service

By Design Cambridge Ltd prides itself on offering a tailored approach to kitchen design. Their experienced team works closely with customers to create bespoke kitchen solutions, ensuring that every detail matches your vision.

✅ Exclusive Nobilia Kitchen Features

By Design Cambridge Ltd offers the latest innovations from Nobilia, including the new NBox Drawer Box—an upgrade that enhances functionality and style. If you want the latest kitchen technology, By Design Cambridge Ltd stays ahead of the curve.

✅ Customer Support & Aftercare

From the initial consultation to after-sales support, By Design Cambridge Ltd focuses on exceptional customer care. Their hands-on approach ensures a smooth and stress-free kitchen transformation.

✅ Competitive Pricing & Value

While high-quality German kitchens are an investment, By Design Cambridge Ltd offers great value for money, ensuring you get the best design and installation services at competitive prices.

✅ Showroom Experience

Their showroom provides an immersive experience, allowing you to explore a variety of Nobilia styles, colors, and finishes before making a decision.

Küchengroup Cambridge (Kuchenhaus Cambridge)

✅ Brand Recognition & Range

Küchengroup Cambridge is a well-known name in the UK for German kitchens, offering a variety of Nobilia kitchen designs. However, they follow a more standardized approach rather than focusing on highly personalized designs.

✅ Competitive Pricing

They often advertise attractive pricing, but it’s important to compare what’s included in the package—especially in terms of installation, customization, and aftercare support.

⚠ Customer Service Variability

While some customers have positive experiences, others have reported delays in communication and post-installation support. Be sure to check recent reviews before making a decision.

⚠ Installation Process

Küchengroup Cambridge typically uses external installation teams, which may not provide the same level of personalized service as an in-house team. Be sure to clarify installation details before committing.

Which One Should You Choose?

Choose By Design Cambridge Ltd if:
✔ You want a personalized design service tailored to your needs.
✔ You want access to the latest Nobilia innovations, like the NBox Drawer Box.
✔ You value customer service, aftercare, and hands-on support.
✔ You prefer a seamless experience from consultation to installation.

Consider Küchengroup Cambridge if:
✔ You’re looking for a well-known brand and standard Nobilia kitchen options.
✔ You’re comfortable handling some aspects of the process yourself (such as installation follow-ups).
✔ You find a promotional offer that fits your budget.

Final Thoughts

Both retailers offer high-quality Nobilia kitchens, but By Design Cambridge Ltd stands out for its personalized service, customer care, and access to the latest kitchen innovations. If you’re looking for a stress-free, expertly designed kitchen, By Design Cambridge Ltd is the clear choice.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Denis and the team were incredibly helpful through the whole process of our kitchen refurbishment. From the initial discussions and call out with Denis, his particular eye for design came through and he made some great suggestions for opening up the space in terms of removing the chimney breast and partitioning out existing pantry which have transformed our kitchen area. Denis was there every step of the way, coming in an checking on the trades, liaising with them while we weren't in the property and project managing it to a very high standard.

The team they used were equally as thoughtful, providing great suggestions and design, with the new flooring throughout the downstairs, it feels like we live in a different house. We would highly recommend By Design to design and spec your kitchen.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our son & daughter-in-law suggested we contact Denis at By Design for our new kitchen, after their successful installation 3 years ago. We are pleased we did, as we are delighted with the result. German manufacture, with lots of neat innovations to make best use of our fairly limited space, and which didn’t stretch our budget. Denis has a wealth of knowledge, guiding us through the design process to a quality kitchen. We are pleased to recommend By Design. Mary & Martin South Cambridge.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. By Design recently designed, supplied and installed our new bathroom. Throughout the entire process, the service we received couldn't have been better. The main reason we chose By Design was the fantastic support we received from Denis. He was with us every step of the way, from exploring various design options to regularly checking in on the fitting progress.

The team responsible for the fitting was extremely courteous and consistently went out of their way to ensure everything was being carried out as expected. They also made a special effort to minimize any disruption to our daily routines.

Thank you for providing such excellent service and for making our bathroom renovation a smooth and pleasant experience.

We had By design completely redo our Kitchen and all bathrooms, both processes were slick and informative, project managed by Denis and or Mark, great set of trades who had pride in their work, 100% satisfaction with both jobs and results would 100 % recommend them for any Kitchens or bathroom projects.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I'm thrilled with our new bathroom from By Design. The entire experience from the initial design through to completion was excellent. It was so reassuring having Denis managing the project. He'd stop in most days to make sure everything was on track and up to his high standards and to deal with any small issues that cropped up. All of the contractors they worked with were also excellent. The entire project ran smoothly and on time. And the finished room is beautiful! Just what we wanted. We'd definitely use By Design again.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Completely superb job on our bathroom, accomplished in spite of a number of hesitations and changes of mind on our part. Please would you compliment and thank both your own staff and also your various subcontractors? They were thoroughly professional, expert and speedy: and they were also extraordinarily courteous, considerate and careful in their work. Completely beyond our expectations.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. An amazing customer service with the most varied collection in a relative small area.
They offered much lower prices than Cambridge worktops. Would highly recommend.
